If you don't want to go under the knife, you can always try these alternatives. You can choose from a temporary hair removal or permanently go hairless. These provide you choices depending on your preference and financial capacity. You can now achieve a silky smooth skin.A lot of women and men choose to have unwanted body hair removed, but not everyone is a fan of surgery. Others may fear it, others just finds it Taboo. If you think the same, here are a few alternatives that you can do. These are safe and non-invasive procedures.
1. Shaving
Shaving is one of the most common hair removal procedures. It is the removal of hair using a razor or any bladed material.
It removes the hair to the level of the skin; usually used by men to remove facial hair while women use it to remove hair from their legs and underarm. You can get razor cuts depending on the blade movement. Cuts cause bleeding, which is a disadvantage for this method. Best done with shaving cream and after-shave.
2. Waxing
A semi- permanent hair removing procedure that uses heated wax or paper strip on the area and pulled to the hair's growth direction. This allows the hair to be pulled from the roots. This method will create hair regrowth in 2 to 8 weeks.
3. Epilator
An epilator is a hair removing electrical device that simultaneously grabs multiple hair and pull them out. Some people will find it painful since just like waxing, it removes hair from the roots. Pain on the first epilation can be bad; where others prefer waxing first and then use an Epilator for the regrowth.
4. Laser hair removal
This is a method of hair removal that uses light to kill hair follicles. Lasers can target a specific spot with coarse hair without damaging hairs on the surrounding area. This method is very fast and is permanent. For small areas like the upper lip can be treated in a minute and for bigger or larger areas like the legs and back can take about an hour.
5. Electrolysis
This method uses chemical or heat energy. Tweezers are used to remove the hair after a fine probe is inserted into the follicle. This may require multiple sessions to remove hair permanently. The hair will be forever gone once the sessions are completed. Some might say that the procedure is painful, but there is no truth to that. Each treatment would last about 15 minutes to an hour.
